George de Forest Brush

(American, 1855–1941)

Room Paintings holds two paintings by George de Forest Brush, from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. They date from 1905 to 1916. We file all of them under Early 20th-Century Painting. The most common subjects are children, portraits and women. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the apartment or dorm and hallway or entryway.
