George Stubbs White Poodle in a Punt, c. 1780
George Stubbs
(British, 1724–1806)
Room Paintings holds two paintings by George Stubbs, from the National Gallery of Art. They date from 1769 to 1780. We file all of them under Romanticism. The most common subjects are dogs, groups and gatherings and women. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the dining room and kids' room.
