Jacob van Strij

(Dutch, 1756–1815)

Room Paintings holds four paintings by Jacob van Strij, from the Rijksmuseum. They date from 1780 to 1800. We file most of them under Early 19th-Century Painting, and some under 18th-Century Painting. The most common subjects are animals, landscapes and work and labor. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the guest room and kids' room.
