Josephine Joy

(1869–1948)

Room Paintings holds three paintings by Josephine Joy, from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. All of them date from 1935. We file all of them under Early 20th-Century Painting. The most common subjects are work and labor, architecture and landscapes. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the guest room and bedroom.
