Aert van der Neer
(Dutch, 1603–1677)
Room Paintings holds four paintings by Aert van der Neer, from the Rijksmuseum. They date from 1639 to 1650. We file all of them under Dutch Golden Age. The most common subjects are cityscapes, landscapes and leisure and sport. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the guest room and living room.
