Alexej von Jawlensky

(Russian, 1864–1941)

Room Paintings holds two paintings by Alexej von Jawlensky, from the National Gallery of Art. They date from 1910 to 1915. We file all of them under Expressionism. The most common subjects are landscapes and religion. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the apartment or dorm and bedroom.
