Wassily Kandinsky Improvisation No. 30 (Cannons), 1913
Wassily Kandinsky
(1866–1944)
Room Paintings holds five paintings by Wassily Kandinsky, from the Art Institute of Chicago. They date from 1909 to 1913. We file most of them under Early Abstraction, and some under Expressionism. The most common subjects are landscapes, abstract and animals. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the apartment or dorm and living room.
