Jan Davidsz de Heem

(Dutch, 1606–1684)

Room Paintings holds three paintings by Jan Davidsz de Heem, from The Met and the National Gallery of Art. They date from 1640 to 1660. We file all of them under Dutch Golden Age. The most common subjects are still life, food and drink and fruit. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the dining room and apartment or dorm.
