Thomas Moran

(American, 1837–1926)

Room Paintings holds three paintings by Thomas Moran, from the National Gallery of Art. They date from 1864 to 1884. We file most of them under Hudson River School, and some under Realism. The most common subjects are landscapes, rivers and lakes and seascapes. All of them suit a room in our lists, most often the bathroom and bedroom.
