Francisco de Zurbarán

(Spanish, 1598–1664)

Room Paintings holds three paintings by Francisco de Zurbarán, from the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art and The Met. They date from 1627 to 1640. We file most of them under Baroque, and some under Renaissance. The most common subjects are religion, flowers and men. One of them suit a room in our lists, most often the bedroom and dining room.
