(American, 1811–1879)
Room Paintings holds four paintings by George Caleb Bingham, from the National Gallery of Art and The Met. They date from 1845 to 1850. We file all of them under Realism. The most common subjects are men, boats and harbors and cats. Two of them suit a room in our lists, most often the bedroom and living room.
